I like to be as honest as possible with my readers, so I need to tell you that this website is part of my business. I run it to educate you, my readers, and I hope that in doing so, I help you online and in your own career.
It is also my business, so I run it to make a profit. In addition to selling my own products, I promote other companies’ products as an affiliate. That means if you buy something I recommend through one of my affiliate links, at no extra cost to you, I will usually earn a commission for the referral.
That is what keeps the site running and lets me carry on doing what I love, so thank you for any purchases you make on the back of my recommendations. I genuinely appreciate it.
I hope that what I share here helps you build something of your own — whether that is extra income, more freedom in your week, or the means to support something you care about.

How to spot an affiliate link
Every affiliate link on this site is labelled (Ad) where it appears. Any article carrying affiliate links also says so at the top, before the content starts.
If a link is not marked (Ad), it is not an affiliate link. Plenty of the links here are just links — internal pages, sources, and tools I rate but don’t earn anything from.
What I earn, and who from
If you click an affiliate link and buy something, a cookie is usually set in your browser so the seller knows the referral came from me, and that seller pays me a commission. You pay exactly the same price either way.
I am an affiliate for a number of companies. Two are worth naming specifically:
Amazon. As an Amazon Associate I earn from qualifying purchases. I take part in the Amazon EU Associates Programme, an affiliate advertising programme that lets site owners earn fees by linking to Amazon.co.uk. Amazon and the Amazon logo are trademarks of Amazon.com, Inc. or its affiliates.
ClickFunnels. I am an independent ClickFunnels affiliate, not an employee. I receive referral payments from ClickFunnels. The opinions here are my own and are not official statements of ClickFunnels.
How my links are built
Most of my affiliate links to non-Amazon products are shortened to internethabits.com/get/… addresses, for tracking and to keep long URLs tidy. The (Ad) label tells you it is an affiliate link before you click it.
Amazon links are never shortened or redirected. They point straight at Amazon.co.uk, as Amazon’s terms require.
What I will and will not recommend
I only recommend products or services I use personally or believe will add value to my readers.
That second half matters, so let me be plain about it. Some of what I recommend is kit or software I do not personally own or use — recommended because I have researched it, or because I know it is what people doing that particular job actually use. Where that is the case, I will not pretend otherwise, and I will not write as though I use it myself.
Nobody pays me to write a review or a post, and I do not accept payment or free products in exchange for coverage.
I will say the obvious thing too: earning a commission is a conflict of interest, and you should factor that in. I manage it by only recommending things I would still recommend if there were no commission at all. But you are entitled to weigh that up yourself, which is exactly why every affiliate link is labelled.
