This should be one of the first plugins you install on your WordPress blog. Joost de Valk and his team have developed an excellent plugin that will help you optimise your blog’s content. It allows you to add sitemaps, breadcrumbs, social markup, title tags, etc.

In my opinion, this is the best free SEO plugin available. There’s also a Premium Yoast SEO plugin with several extra features.
